Architect
A globally recognised architecture and design practice is looking for an experienced Architect / Architectural Designer to join its London studio on an initial 6-month contract. This is an opportunity to work within a highly design-led international environment on large-scale, complex projects, supporting the development and delivery of schemes using Revit. The role will suit someone who combines strong architectural design ability with excellent technical and coordination skills and is comfortable joining an established project team and contributing from day one.
Job Description
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on complex, large-scale architectural projects.
- Develop architectural design information and project packages using Revit.
- Produce and coordinate drawings, models and detailed design information to a high standard.
- Take ownership of defined areas and packages within the wider project.
- Coordinate architectural information with structural, MEP and specialist consultant teams.
- Review consultant information and identify and resolve design and coordination issues.
- Support the development of projects through detailed design and technical delivery stages.
- Maintain design intent while responding to technical, regulatory and construction requirements.
- Participate in internal design reviews and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
- Work closely with senior architects, project leaders and wider design teams to meet programme and project deliverables.
- Ensure Revit models and associated documentation remain accurate, coordinated and consistent.
- Contribute effectively within a fast-paced international studio environment.
Key Skills
- Strong professional experience within a recognised architectural practice.
- Advanced Revit capability is essential, with the ability to work confidently on live, complex projects.
- Experience working on large-scale and technically challenging schemes.
- Strong architectural design and technical delivery skills.
- Experience producing and coordinating detailed architectural packages.
- Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across architecture, structures and MEP.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex design and coordination issues.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence taking ownership of packages and deliverables.
- Experience working within larger project teams and established BIM environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to join a project team and become productive quickly.
- Previous experience on major international projects would be advantageous.
This is an initial 6-month contract offering the opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading design practices on ambitious and technically complex projects. It would particularly suit an experienced Architect or Architectural Designer with strong Revit skills and large-scale project experience who enjoys working within collaborative, design-focused project teams.
